Just because someone has told you that you can make a certain choice, does not mean you should, or that it is the right choice. We are faced with choices everyday. Some people choose to rape, some molest children, some steal life savings, and some, some kill babies before they are born.
My proposal is to start a moving plan. First, abortion education would be taught in school, education that would include pictures and videos that people would rather not see. We are an uninformed people, and we need to be informed with the harsh realities of abortion. Gradually, counseling would be required before an abortion would be performed. Ultimately, abortion would be abolished in the U.S.
Look at the picture above, looks like a baby, doesn’t it? Well, doesn’t it? That is because it IS a baby.
We keep people alive when they have no brain waves, these babies have heart beats and brain waves when they are aborted…..think about it.
In my proposal, I want to cover a lot of subjects…or aspects, rather, of abortion, why it is bad, or harmful, for mother and child, and even our country, and then frame my suggestion to ultimately abolish it.
I am brainstorming here:
First of all, there are the physical and emotional (mental, perhaps) aspects of how an abortion negatively affects the mother. These are things that people just do NOT talk about. Abortion is given as a magical cure for pregnancy, yet it can leave scars that never heal.
Second, I want to put out the fact that no one in politics ever seems to have seen the pictures of aborted “fetuses” ugh I hate that word…for the record, I think I am going to establish the word BABY instead of fetus. Peopl are severely uninformed about abortion. I want to talk about the timeline of development, specifically when the brain waves and heart starts to beat. After all, if you have a heartbeat and brain waves, you are still considered alive. Even people who are brain dead have so many of thousands of people call congress to keep them alive, yet our country silently allows abortion, a much more heinous act, to occur.
Also, it affects our country in an insane way. Think of all those children, I think it is one in three that is aborted now, and think how many doctors we would have. How many Mother Teresas, cures for cancer, policeman, presidents…would we have now.
There is so much to think about, and so much work to do!

Welcome to An Immodest Proposal!
The purpose of this blog is not to propose anything of the immodest nature. In 1729 Jonathan Swift wrote and essay called A Modest Proposal. It was a satirical essay that suggested the best way for the Irish people to fix their economic struggles, was for the poor to sell their children to the rich…for food.
This blog serves as a “visual argument” for a proposal that I have to make for my argumentative writing class. I have to make a proposal that I feel strongly about. Thus, I am framing a proposal that would lead to the eventual extinction of abortion in the United States.
Please feel free to come back and peruse as I add more to this blog as I build my argument. Please feel free to comment, as I would appreciate any feedback on my argument!
Thank you!
